These are delicious but not hot at all if you use the hot sauces below. My son has been eating them since he was 9 and loves them.
|1 dozen||chicken wings|
|½ cup||Texas Pete or Frank's Red Hot sauce|
Pete's Original and Frank's Red Hot
hot sauces work best, try others at you own risk. If you need to make a bigger
pot of sauce, just use equal parts of butter and
hot sauce. Melt the butter in a pan on the stove top. Stir
in the hot sauce and add the garlic. Stir well to combine.
Place the wings on a very hot grill. Turn the wings often and try to get the skin as crispy as possible without burning them. When the wings are completely cooked, baste them once with the sauce, turn them, and baste them a second time with the sauce. Watch out because the butter will flare up when it hits the hot coals or grates. Take the wings off, put them on a plate, and baste with the remaining sauce. Serve.
