  Butter Pecan Ice Cream

Great homemade butter pecan ice cream.

2 cups

half and half

1 cup

whipping cream

¾ cup

sugar

1 tsp
vanilla

¼ tsp

salt

3 tbl
butter
⅓ cup pecan pieces

Melt the butter over medium heat in a small non-stick frying pan.  Add the pecans and cook for 2 minutes.  Start the ice cream maker and add the half and half, then the whipping cream, sugar, vanilla, salt, and butter and pecan mixture.  Let the ice cream maker do its job.
