Korean BBQ Beef Short Ribs

I don't know how authentic this is but they are really good and easy to make.  They are a nice alternative to BBQ pork ribs.

3 lbs

beef short ribs

¾ cup

soy sauce

¾ cup

water

3 tbl

white vinegar

4 tbl

brown sugar
2 tbl
table sugar
2 tbl
sesame oil
1 head
garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1
medium onion finely chopped

green onions, thinly sliced

Mix the last 8 ingredients in a glass bowl and stir until the sugars dissolve.  Put the ribs in and cover them.  Let the ribs marinate in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours but 24 hours is better.  Preheat your grill to medium.  Remove the ribs from the marinade and shake off the pieces of onion and garlic.  If you'd like, you can make a bbq sauce to put over the ribs by putting the leftover marinade in in a sauce pan, heating it over medium heat, and reducing by about half.  Cook the ribs slowly on the grill until the centers are not pink.  Garnish with green onions, top with the bbq sauce, and serve.
