1½ oz

cognac

¾ oz

Cointreau

¾ oz

fresh lemon juice

Another classic cocktail.  Use a peeler to make a few lemon or orange peel twists.  Squeeze a few lemons for the juice.  Don't discard the lemons.  Rub a lemon around the edge of a martini glass then dip in sugar to coat the rim.  In a shaker with ice, add the cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice.   Shake until mixed and cold.  Strain into the martini glass and garnish with a lemon peel or orange peel.
