These are delicious but not hot if you use the hot sauces below. My son has been eating them since he was 9 and loves them. Texas Pete's Original and Frank's Red Hot hot sauces work best, try others at you own risk.
1 dozen | chicken wings |
1 tbl |
canola oil |
salt |
|
pepper |
|
1 stick | butter |
½ cup | Texas Pete's Original or Frank's Red Hot hot sauce |
2 tsp |
granulated garlic |
Cut the wings into drumettes and flappers. Put the wings in a large bowl, drizzle the canola oil over them, and salt and pepper them. Mix the wings until they are well coated with the oil and salt and pepper. Cook the wings on a very hot grill. Turn the wings often and try to get the skin as crispy as possible without burning them. While the wings are cooking, melt the butter in a pan on the stove top. Stir in the hot sauce and add the garlic. Bring this to a simmer and then turn the heat off. When the wings are completely cooked, take them off the grill and put them straight into a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the wings then mix well to coat. Serve.
