This isn't gourmet food but it's fast, very easy, and pretty tasty.
1 lb | ground chuck |
½ lb | pasta of your choice |
1 packet (or 2 tbl) | taco seasoning |
½ cup | water |
1 cup |
frozen corn |
1 cup | store bought taco sauce |
1 cup | shredded
cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or the melty cheese of
your choice) |
Start cooking
the pasta according to the directions. While the pasta
cooks, brown the beef in a deep non-stick frying pan, then drain
any fat and wipe out the pan.
Put the beef
back in the frying pan, add the taco seasoning, water, and
frozen corn. Turn the heat to medium, and cook while
stirring, until the water has evaporated.
About this time the pasta should be done. Drain the past and add it to the pan with the taco sauce and cheese. Heat for a minute or two or until everything is warmed. Serve.
